Preparation of Gallic Acid Intercalated Layered Double Hydroxide for Enhanced Corrosion Protection of Epoxy Coatings

چکیده

In the field of corrosion protection coatings, layered double hydroxide (LDH) has gained wide attention as a novel controlled-release nanocontainer. this paper, by using co-precipitation to store inhibitors in with barrier properties, an environmentally friendly gallic acid (GA) intercalated filler (GA-LDH) was prepared. The epoxy coating then modified GA-LDH improve its performance. structure, composition, and release behavior were investigated series characterizations, such emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry (UV-vis). Electrochemical impedance (EIS) neutral salt spray test (NSS) performed evaluate effect EP containing on for Q235 steel. results show that added can achieve excellent performance is expected be widely used marine contexts.
